Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial motor vehicles (CMV) in accordance with FMCSA regulations and company policies.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance and identify potential issues.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and cargo protection.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery logs at all times.
- Adhere to strict schedules and delivery timelines while navigating varying road conditions.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding status updates and any delays.
- Keep the truck and trailer clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B with the proper endorsements (Tanker, Hazmat, or Doubles/Triples preferred).
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no major moving violations or DUIs within the last 7 years.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience (Preferred).
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong understanding of DOT hours of service (HOS) regulations.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, weekends, and handle overtime when required.
