Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks (dry van, refrigerated, or flatbed) across Texas and surrounding states
- Plan and optimize routes to meet delivery deadlines while ensuring fuel efficiency
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Load/unload cargo with proper equipment and securement techniques
- Communicate proactively with dispatch, customers, and warehouse teams
- Adhere strictly to FMCSA regulations, HOS compliance, and company policies
- Document delivery exceptions and customer communications in real-time
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean MVR (no more than 2 moving violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable OTR or regional experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening (including hair follicle test)
- Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELD) and transportation management systems
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Strong navigation skills and knowledge of Texas roadways
- Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Excellent time management and problem-solving abilities
