Responsibilities
- Safely transport students on designated routes following strict safety protocols
- Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and maintenance reports
- Maintain a positive, orderly environment for all passengers
- Adhere to all traffic laws and district transportation policies
- Communicate effectively with parents, students, and school staff
- Respond appropriately to emergency situations and student needs
Qualifications
- Valid Texas Driver's License (Class C minimum)
- Ability to obtain CDL with School Bus endorsement (training provided)
- Clean driving record (no DUI/DWI in past 5 years)
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Ability to lift 25 lbs and operate bus controls
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- Patience and ability to work with children ages 5-18
