Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks to deliver goods across designated routes
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle logs
- Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Load/unload cargo using proper equipment and safety procedures
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status
- Report maintenance issues and accidents immediately per policy
- Optimize routes to meet delivery deadlines while prioritizing safety
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A or B license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Flexibility for overnight travel and irregular schedules
- No DUIs or preventable accidents in past 3 years
