Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A trucks in various weather conditions and road environments.
- Load and unload cargo securely using straps, chains, and cargo bars.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and driver logs in compliance with DOT regulations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety and compliance.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any delays.
- Adhere to all company safety policies, traffic laws, and federal regulations.
- Keep the cab and cargo area clean and organized.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable Class A driving experience preferred.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Physical) and valid DOT drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations, and cargo securement procedures.
- Ability to pass a background check and motor vehicle record (MVR) review.
- Basic English reading and communication skills for safety documentation.
- Willingness to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
