Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial delivery vehicles to transport goods to designated locations in a timely and professional manner.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety and compliance.
- Obey all traffic laws, parking regulations, and safety protocols to maintain a clean driving record.
- Interact professionally with customers to ensure satisfaction and handle any delivery exceptions with grace.
- Handle packages with care, ensuring they are not damaged during transit and are secured properly.
- Utilize mobile technology to update delivery status, track routes, and communicate with dispatch.
- Keep the delivery vehicle clean, organized, and fuel-efficient throughout the workday.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License (Class C) with a clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years).
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly without assistance.
- Must be at least 21 years of age and pass a drug screen and background check.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to follow GPS routes accurately.
- Basic computer literacy and smartphone proficiency for logging deliveries.
- Excellent customer service skills and a positive attitude.
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions.
