Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A or B) to transport goods to designated locations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing loads.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours and delivery records in accordance with DOT regulations.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies to ensure a safe working environment.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required.
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT card).
- Must possess a clean driving record (no major violations in the last 3-5 years).
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical labor as required.
- Basic computer skills for logging and reporting.
- Must be willing to undergo a background check and drug screening.
