Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (dry van, refrigerated, or flatbed) within DOT regulations
- Complete pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate logbooks
- Load/unload shipments with proper handling techniques
- Navigate optimized routes using GPS technology for timely deliveries
- Communicate with dispatch and clients regarding shipment status
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and HAZMAT compliance when required
- Maintain clean driving record and vehicle documentation
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with at least 2 years verifiable experience
- Clean MVR (no more than 2 moving violations in 3 years)
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly
- Knowledge of FMCSA regulations and Hours of Service
- Experience with electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
