Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles over long distances while adhering to DOT regulations
- Plan efficient routes using GPS navigation to ensure timely deliveries
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Load/unload freight with proper handling techniques and securement protocols
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding delivery status and route changes
- Uphold strict safety standards and zero-tolerance policy for violations
- Complete required paperwork including bills of lading and delivery confirmations
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Familiarity with Hazmat regulations (HME certification preferred)
- Strong understanding of FMCSA hours-of-service rules
- Proficiency in electronic logging device (ELD) usage
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
