Responsibilities
- Safely operate tractor-trailers for regional and long-haul routes
- Adhere to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Plan efficient routes while meeting delivery deadlines
- Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and maintenance reports
- Load/unload cargo with proper handling techniques
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs
- Communicate proactively with dispatch and clients
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years OTR trucking experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Knowledge of Houston metro area and Texas highways
- Strong defensive driving skills and hazard awareness
- Experience with electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
