Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles (dry van, flatbed, or refrigerated) in compliance with FMCSA regulations
- Plan and execute efficient delivery routes while meeting strict deadlines
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate electronic logs
- Load/unload cargo using proper equipment and safety protocols
- Communicate with dispatch, customers, and team members regarding shipment status
- Maintain clean driving record and adhere to company safety policies
- Participate in quarterly safety training and performance reviews
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening (required)
- Familiarity with California route planning and traffic patterns
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions
- Basic navigation skills (GPS proficiency required)
- Excellent time management and problem-solving abilities
- Strong work ethic and punctuality
