Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for long-haul routes across Illinois and surrounding states
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations, HOS compliance, and company safety protocols
- Accurately maintain electronic logs, trip reports, and vehicle inspection records
- Coordinate with dispatch for efficient load delivery and timely pickups
- Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Represent Swift Logistics with professionalism in customer interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions
- Strong navigation skills and familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Excellent time management and communication abilities
- No DUIs or preventable accidents in the past 3 years
