Responsibilities
- Operate tractor-trailers for regional routes within Michigan and surrounding states
- Ensure safe cargo transport with strict adherence to DOT regulations
- Complete thorough pre/post-trip inspections and maintenance reports
- Manage delivery documentation and electronic logging systems
- Maintain consistent communication with dispatch team
- Optimize routes for efficiency and on-time delivery
- Represent Motor City Transport professionally at all customer sites
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Proficient in electronic logging device (ELD) usage
- Strong knowledge of Michigan roadways and regional geography
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Flexible schedule including overnight trips
