Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and trailers safely and efficiently to deliver cargo on time.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle and cargo safety compliance.
- Load and unload freight securely, ensuring cargo integrity during transit.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and all necessary paperwork in accordance with DOT regulations.
- Navigate routes effectively to avoid delays and optimize delivery schedules.
- Communicate professionally with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and any issues.
- Adhere to all safety policies and traffic laws at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Medical Card).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Clean driving record with no serious traffic violations.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong time management skills and ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Physical ability to lift and move cargo, and perform tasks in various weather conditions.
