Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A tractor-trailers for local/regional routes
- Adhere to DOT regulations and maintain meticulous logs
- Load/unload freight with proper equipment usage
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and report maintenance needs
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients
- Deliver freight on schedule with zero tolerance for late arrivals
- Represent SwiftHaul with professionalism at all customer sites
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Proficient with electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Strong time management and route optimization skills
- Flexibility for early morning starts and occasional overnight trips
- Knowledge of Ohio roadways and regional geography
