Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles safely and efficiently across designated routes
- Inspect and maintain truck systems to ensure DOT compliance
- Manage load documentation and delivery paperwork accurately
- Communicate with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status
- Adhere to strict delivery schedules and time-sensitive requirements
- Practice defensive driving in all weather and traffic conditions
- Report maintenance issues and coordinate repairs promptly
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience
- Clean driving record with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with NYC traffic patterns and regulations
- Basic understanding of load securement techniques
- Strong time management and communication skills
- Flexibility for early morning starts and occasional overnight trips
