Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks (Class A/B) for local/regional routes
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain vehicle maintenance logs
- Transport time-sensitive freight while adhering to DOT regulations
- Load/unload cargo with proper securement techniques
- Utilize GPS technology for efficient route navigation
- Communicate delivery status and traffic issues to dispatch
- Maintain clean driving record and zero-accident commitment
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations (last 3 years)
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Familiarity with Detroit metro area road networks
- HAZMAT endorsement preferred (training provided if needed)
