Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks to deliver freight on time and in perfect condition
- Plan efficient routes using GPS navigation while adhering to DOT regulations
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate logs
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status
- Secure and unload cargo using proper loading techniques and equipment
- Monitor vehicle performance and report maintenance needs promptly
- Maintain professional appearance and customer service standards
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Knowledge of Virginia roadways and regional logistics
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Experience with electronic logging systems (ELD) preferred
- Must be at least 23 years old
