Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and tractor-trailers in accordance with federal and state regulations.
- Load and unload cargo efficiently, ensuring all freight is secured properly for transit.
- Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving time, miles, and fuel consumption (DOT compliant).
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Adhere to all company policies, safety procedures, and traffic laws at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A or B required.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable driving experience (OTR or Local).
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no major traffic violations.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to meet tight delivery deadlines.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues.
