Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks over assigned routes, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment, ensuring weight distribution and securement.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery logs.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members regarding schedules and route changes.
- Uphold high standards of customer service and professional conduct at all times.
- Report any vehicle maintenance issues or accidents immediately to management.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Must possess a clean driving record with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical exam and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety protocols.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks associated with loading and securing cargo.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
