Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles for local and regional deliveries within Washington DC metropolitan area
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure DOT compliance
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation using electronic logging systems
- Coordinate with dispatch team for efficient route planning and on-time deliveries
- Provide exceptional customer service during client interactions and delivery processes
- Adhere strictly to all federal, state, and local transportation regulations
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience
- Ability to pass mandatory DOT physical and drug screening
- Proficiency in using GPS navigation and electronic logging devices
- Strong knowledge of Washington DC traffic patterns and delivery zones
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
