Responsibilities
- Safely transport freight between distribution centers, ports, and customer facilities
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic logging system compliance
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and basic vehicle maintenance
- Coordinate with dispatch team for real-time route adjustments
- Ensure cargo security and proper loading/unloading procedures
- Adhere to all DOT regulations and California state transport laws
- Provide exceptional customer service at delivery points
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with San Diego metro area and border crossings
- HAZMAT certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Flexibility for early morning/night shifts
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
