Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for regional and long-haul routes
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate DOT compliance logs
- Plan efficient routes while adhering to delivery deadlines and safety protocols
- Load/unload cargo with proper securing techniques per FMCSA standards
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, clients, and team members
- Represent Swift professionally with exceptional customer service
- Utilize telematics systems for real-time tracking and optimization
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A license with minimum 1 year experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in past 3 years
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Knowledge of FMCSA regulations and Hazmat protocols (if applicable)
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and operate in various weather conditions
- Strong navigation skills and familiarity with Texas roadways
- Flexible availability including weekends and overnight trips
