Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks transporting goods between Washington DC and North Carolina
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and maintain vehicle maintenance logs
- Plan efficient routes using GPS navigation systems to meet delivery deadlines
- Load/unload cargo with proper securing techniques following safety protocols
- Communicate with dispatch regarding delivery status and traffic conditions
- Adhere to DOT regulations and company safety policies
- Complete accurate documentation including bills of lading and delivery confirmations
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 1 year of tractor-trailer experience
