Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class 8 commercial vehicles for regional deliveries within Texas
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle logs
- Adhere to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Load/unload freight using appropriate equipment (pallet jacks, forklifts)
- Communicate with dispatch via ELD system for route optimization
- Manage delivery documentation and proof of completion
- Maintain clean driving record and comply with FMCSA standards
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with minimum 2 years verifiable experience
- Clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Experience with flatbed, dry van, or refrigerated trailers
- Basic knowledge of cargo securement techniques
- Proficient with electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Strong time management and route navigation skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
