Responsibilities
- Safely operate school bus on designated routes and field trips
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip vehicle inspections
- Ensure student safety during boarding, transit, and disembarking
- Maintain discipline and enforce bus safety protocols
- Communicate effectively with parents, schools, and dispatch
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws and school district policies
- Report maintenance issues and student incidents promptly
Qualifications
- Valid Florida Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with School Bus endorsement
- Minimum 2 years driving experience with clean MVR
- Pass DOT physical, drug screening, and background check
- Child safety certification or willingness to obtain
- Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to work flexible hours (early mornings/afternoons)
- First Aid/CPR certification preferred
