Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to and from school using district-provided vehicles
- Adhere strictly to designated routes and schedules
- Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and safety checks
- Maintain a positive and secure environment for all passengers
- Follow all traffic laws and school district protocols
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Report maintenance issues immediately to transportation supervisors
Qualifications
- Valid Maryland Commercial Driver's License (Class B with P/S endorsement)
- Minimum 3 years driving experience with clean MVR
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate wheelchair lifts
- Background check clearance through Baltimore City Schools
- First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
