Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of scalable backend services and microservices architecture.
- Mentor Level 1 engineers, conducting code reviews and providing technical guidance to foster team growth.
- Identify and resolve complex technical debt, optimizing system performance and reliability.
- Collaborate with product managers and designers to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
- Participate in agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Contribute to the definition of engineering standards, best practices, and CI/CD pipelines.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional software development experience (Level 2 experience required).
- Proficiency in Python, Java, or Go, with experience in at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, RESTful APIs, and database design (SQL/NoSQL).
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
