Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop error mitigation protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Collaborate with machine learning teams to integrate quantum acceleration
- Lead quantum security initiatives post-quantum cryptography standards
- Mentor junior engineers in quantum programming (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Publish research in top quantum computing conferences
- Partner with hardware teams to co-design quantum processors
Qualifications
- MS/PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years quantum algorithm development experience
- Proficiency in quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum mechanics
- Experience with superconducting qubit architectures
- Published research in quantum computing or quantum information
- Expertise in Python/C++ and high-performance computing
- Clearance for DoD quantum projects preferred
