Responsibilities
- Safely transport medical specimens, pharmaceuticals, and sensitive equipment using company vehicles
- Maintain strict HIPAA compliance and chain-of-custody protocols for all medical materials
- Optimize daily delivery routes using GPS technology to ensure punctual arrivals
- Document all transactions using electronic tracking systems and maintain accurate delivery logs
- Provide exceptional customer service to healthcare facilities and patients
- Perform vehicle safety inspections and maintenance checks
- Adhere to all federal/state transportation regulations and medical industry standards
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years medical courier or healthcare logistics experience
- Valid Pennsylvania driver's license with clean driving record
- OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens certification required
- Proficiency with GPS navigation and electronic tracking systems
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs safely
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Knowledge of Pittsburgh area healthcare facilities preferred
