Responsibilities
- Transport time-sensitive medical specimens, blood products, and organs between hospitals, labs, and clinics
- Maintain strict temperature control for cold-chain pharmaceuticals and biologics
- Document all transfers using our HIPAA-compliant digital tracking system
- Provide exceptional customer service to healthcare providers and patients
- Perform vehicle safety inspections and preventative maintenance
- Adhere to OSHA, DOT, and CDC regulations for hazardous materials transport
- Coordinate with dispatch teams during emergency medical situations
Qualifications
- Valid Virginia driver's license with clean driving record
- Minimum 3 years medical courier or healthcare logistics experience
- OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens certification required
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and navigate hospital corridors with medical equipment
- Proficiency with GPS navigation and electronic documentation systems
- Exceptional time management and route optimization skills
