Responsibilities
- Safely transport time-sensitive medical specimens, pharmaceuticals, and critical equipment to healthcare facilities
- Maintain meticulous documentation and temperature logs for all medical deliveries
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance protocols and biohazard safety standards
- Utilize GPS tracking systems to optimize delivery routes and ensure on-time arrivals
- Coordinate with medical staff and dispatch teams for urgent and scheduled pickups
- Perform vehicle safety inspections and maintain clean, organized transport units
- Respond to emergency delivery requests with urgency and professionalism
Qualifications
- Valid California driver's license with clean MVR (no moving violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years experience in medical courier or healthcare logistics
- Certification in biohazard handling and medical transport (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and operate in varied weather conditions
- Proficient with mobile technology and route navigation applications
- Exceptional time management and problem-solving abilities
- Background check and drug screening required
