Responsibilities
- Design and execute multi-year foresight frameworks analyzing disruptive technologies (AI, quantum computing, biotech) through 2026
- Lead scenario-planning workshops for C-suite executives across finance, healthcare, and manufacturing sectors
- Develop predictive models using trend analysis, data mining, and horizon scanning techniques
- Author white papers and keynote presentations at global innovation summits
- Establish strategic partnerships with MIT Media Lab, Singularity University, and other future-focused institutions
- Mentor junior strategists in futures methodologies and systems thinking
- Oversee creation of Horizon Labs' annual 'State of 2026' industry report
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or future studies with Fortune 500 exposure
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Thinking, or related field (PhD preferred)
- Proven track record of published research on exponential technologies (samples required)
- Expertise in scenario planning, Delphi methods, and causal layered analysis
- Deep understanding of geopolitical, demographic, and technological megatrends
- Exceptional data visualization skills with Tableau/Power BI proficiency
- Public speaking experience at Davos, CES, or equivalent tiered events
- Certification in futures methodologies (e.g., from Association of Professional Futurists)
