As a key member of our R&D division, you'll collaborate with quantum computing specialists, AI ethicists, and sustainability architects to develop actionable future scenarios. You'll influence C-suite decisions while mentoring next-generation futurists in our state-of-the-art San Francisco headquarters.
Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning and trend analysis for emerging technologies (quantum, biotech, AI)
- Develop strategic foresight frameworks for 2026 market disruption scenarios
- Facilitate cross-functional workshops with engineering, policy, and design teams
- Produce executive-level future impact assessments and innovation roadmaps
- Establish ethical guidelines for emerging technology adoption
- Represent the company at global futurist conferences and industry summits
- Mentor junior futurists through structured knowledge transfer programs
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Technology Forecasting, or related field
- 8+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or R&D leadership
- Proven experience developing long-term technology roadmaps
- Expertise in scenario planning and trend analysis methodologies
- Deep understanding of exponential technologies (AI, quantum, synthetic biology)
- Exceptional communication skills for executive-level presentations
- Published thought leadership in futurism or innovation journals
- Experience with ethical AI governance frameworks
