Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to/from school and field trips
- Conduct daily pre/post-trip vehicle inspections
- Maintain orderly conduct on the bus per district policies
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws and safety protocols
- Communicate professionally with parents and school staff
- Assist students with boarding/exiting, including special needs
- Complete accurate maintenance and incident reports
Qualifications
- Valid California driver's license (minimum 1 year clean record)
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to obtain Class B CDL with passenger endorsement (training provided)
- Background clearance through fingerprinting
- Experience working with children preferred
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and sit for extended periods
