Responsibilities
- Safely transport students on designated routes following strict safety protocols
- Conduct daily pre-trip/post-trip bus inspections and maintenance checks
- Manage student behavior and ensure a positive, orderly environment
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Maintain accurate attendance and route documentation
- Respond appropriately to emergency situations and student needs
- Adhere to all federal/state transportation regulations and school policies
Qualifications
- Valid California Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Passenger and air brake endorsements
- Clear driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Ability to pass DOT physical and background check
- Minimum 25 years of age
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist students with mobility needs
- Flexibility to work early morning/afternoon hours
