Responsibilities
- Safely operate school buses following strict safety protocols and traffic laws
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Monitor student behavior and maintain a positive, orderly environment
- Adhere to precise routes and schedules with punctuality
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatchers
- Assist students with boarding/exiting and mobility needs
- Respond calmly to emergencies and unexpected situations
Qualifications
- Valid Wisconsin Driver's License with clean driving record
- Ability to obtain Class B CDL with P endorsement (training provided)
- Pass background check, drug screening, and DOT physical
- Experience working with children or vulnerable populations preferred
- Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills
- Ability to lift 25 lbs and assist students with mobility devices
- Flexibility to work early mornings, afternoons, and occasional weekends
