Responsibilities
- Safely operate school buses on designated routes following strict safety protocols
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain vehicle cleanliness
- Monitor student behavior and ensure a positive, respectful environment
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatchers
- Adhere to all federal/state transportation regulations and school policies
- Complete incident reports and documentation as required
- Assist students with boarding/exiting, including those with special needs
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with clean record for 3+ years
- Ability to obtain Commercial Driver's License (Class B/P endorsement)
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Experience working with children preferred
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and operate wheelchair lifts if needed
- Flexibility to work early mornings and afternoons
- High school diploma or equivalent required
