Responsibilities
- Safely transport K-12 students to/from schools and extracurricular activities
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and maintenance reports
- Enforce student safety protocols and manage bus behavior
- Adhere to strict traffic laws and district routing schedules
- Maintain accurate attendance and incident documentation
- Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and dispatch
- Respond professionally to emergencies and weather-related delays
Qualifications
- Valid California Class B CDL with passenger/school bus endorsements
- Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Clean driving record (no DUIs in past 5 years)
- Child CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and assist mobility-impaired students
- Clearances: FBI fingerprinting and TB test
- Spanish bilingual skills preferred
