Responsibilities
- Safely transport K-12 students to/from school and field trips
- Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections
- Maintain strict adherence to traffic laws and safety protocols
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Manage student behavior with patience and positivity
- Complete required paperwork and incident reports
- Participate in ongoing safety training
Qualifications
- Valid California driver's license (Class C minimum)
- Ability to obtain Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with school bus endorsement
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist mobility-impaired students
- Basic first aid/CPR certification (provided)
- Background clearance through DOJ/FBI
- Must be 21+ years old
