Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to and from school and school-sponsored activities.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety.
- Maintain a clean and orderly bus environment, adhering to all health and safety standards.
- Enforce school bus safety rules and monitor student behavior during transit.
- Communicate effectively with parents, school administrators, and dispatch regarding schedules and delays.
- Assist passengers with boarding and exiting the bus safely.
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements.
- Clear driving record with no major violations in the past 3-5 years.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check, drug screen, and physical exam.
- Excellent customer service skills and patience when dealing with students.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including early mornings and afternoons.
- Willingness to undergo defensive driving and safety training.
