Responsibilities
- Transport students safely to and from school and school-related activities along designated routes.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the bus is in safe operating condition.
- Maintain a clean and orderly bus environment, enforcing student conduct and safety rules.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, school administrators, and parents regarding schedule changes or delays.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, school district policies, and safety regulations at all times.
- Assist students with boarding and exiting the bus as needed.
Qualifications
- Clean driving record with a valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and Passenger (P) endorsement.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Pass a criminal background check, drug screening, and physical examination.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact positively with students and parents.
- Reliable and punctual with excellent time management skills.
