Responsibilities
- Safely operate school buses on designated routes following strict safety protocols
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle readiness
- Maintain a safe and respectful environment for all student passengers
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Adhere to all traffic laws and school district transportation policies
- Report maintenance issues and maintain clean vehicle interiors
- Assist students with boarding and exiting the bus safely
Qualifications
- Valid Arizona Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with School Bus endorsement
- Minimum 1 year of professional driving experience
- Pass Department of Transportation (DOT) physical and drug screening
- Clear background check and driving record review
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Flexibility to cover substitute routes as needed
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred
