Responsibilities
- Safely operate school buses on designated routes following strict safety protocols
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain vehicle cleanliness
- Supervise student boarding, seating, and disembarking procedures
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Adapt routes and schedules based on school calendar changes
- Document incidents and maintain accurate transportation logs
- Provide first aid assistance in emergency situations
Qualifications
- Valid Texas Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with School Bus endorsement
- Minimum 1 year professional driving experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Texas School Bus Driver certification or ability to obtain
- Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist students with mobility needs
- Clear criminal background check and driving record
- Flexibility to work varying shifts (early mornings, afternoons)
