Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to/from school and extracurricular events
- Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections
- Maintain student discipline and safety protocols
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws and district routes
- Communicate effectively with parents and school staff
- Document incidents and maintain accurate records
- Participate in mandatory safety training sessions
Qualifications
- Valid California Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with passenger endorsement
- Minimum 2 years professional driving experience
- Clean DMV driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Pass background check and drug screening
- First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and climb stairs
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- Patience and ability to work with diverse student populations
