Responsibilities
- Safely operate district-provided school buses on assigned routes
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and ensure vehicle cleanliness
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws and safety protocols
- Monitor student behavior and maintain a positive atmosphere
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Complete accurate incident reports and route documentation
- Participate in mandatory safety training and recertifications
Qualifications
- Valid Arizona Commercial Driver's License (Class B with P/S endorsement)
- Clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in 3 years)
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Minimum 1 year professional driving experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist students with mobility needs
- Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
- Must pass background check and fingerprint clearance
- Ability to work early morning and afternoon hours
