Responsibilities
- Safely operate school buses following NJ traffic laws and school district protocols
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain vehicle cleanliness
- Manage student behavior with professionalism and care
- Adhere to strict schedules and route plans
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Complete daily trip logs and incident reports accurately
- Ensure student loading/unloading safety at all stops
Qualifications
- Valid New Jersey CDL Class B or A license with P/S endorsement
- Pass federal background check and drug screening
- Minimum 21 years of age
- Excellent driving record (3+ years)
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience and commitment to child safety
- High school diploma or equivalent
