Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to and from school following designated routes and schedules
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of school buses
- Enforce bus safety rules and maintain orderly student conduct
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and transportation coordinators
- Adhere to all federal, state, and district transportation regulations
- Report mechanical issues and maintain accurate trip logs
- Assist students with special needs as required
Qualifications
- Valid Colorado Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with passenger endorsement
- Minimum 2 years of professional driving experience
- Clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Pass background check and DOT physical examination
- First Aid/CPR certification or willingness to obtain
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist students with mobility needs
- Strong communication skills and patience working with children
- Knowledge of Denver area streets and traffic patterns
