Responsibilities
- Safely transport K-12 students to/from school and extracurricular activities
- Pre-trip inspection of school bus equipment and safety systems
- Maintain accurate student attendance and route documentation
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws and safety protocols
- Respond calmly to emergencies and student needs
- Keep bus interior clean and sanitized daily
Qualifications
- Valid North Carolina Commercial Driver's License (Class B) with P/S endorsement
- Minimum 3 years driving experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Child Safety Certification (provided if needed)
- Clear background check and driving record
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and climb bus steps
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
