Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to/from school and field trips according to assigned routes
- Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and ensure proper maintenance
- Maintain a positive, orderly environment on the bus
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws and school district safety protocols
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and transportation coordinators
- Manage student behavior using district-approved discipline methods
- Complete accurate daily logs and incident reports
Qualifications
- Valid Ohio Driver's License (Class A or B with Passenger endorsement preferred)
- Must pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Ability to obtain Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with P endorsement
- Minimum 2 years driving experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist students with mobility needs
- Clean driving record and background check
- Child CPR/First Aid certification (training provided)
